The MiSTer project makes computers like the Amiga accessible to a much wider audience–it was the first time I got a chance to really play with an Amiga. That can make things a little daunting to get started as it assumes some initial knowledge. Where possible I've tried to be explicit about what's required to get started.

First and foremost, this serves as my own collection of notes about setting up and using the MiSTer minimig core. It's likely to look half-complete at any specific moment; expect it to evolve over time. Hopefully it will be useful to you too. If you have any suggestions for corrections or additions, please feel free to get in touch.

The MiSTer supports using RTG and the Picasso96 driver to achieve much higher resolution output over HDMI. There are some good notes on this on GitHub.
